Set a Goal and Hit the Trail

Introducing Metroparks Trail Challenge

Runs June 2, 2018 to June 1, 2019

  • Set you hiking goal of 50, 100 or 150 miles or a paddling goal of 30, 80, 100 miles (1 hour of paddling equals 3 miles)
  • Create your plan to accomplish your goal
  • And hike or paddle!

To participate:

Register online or in person at Wildwood Preserve, Visitor Center beginning June 1. 

Trail Challengers receive:

• Participant T-shirt

• Entry into a private Trail Challenge Facebook group

• Invitations to special trail hikes

• Reward—Hiking stick with badge (badges for 50, 100 or 150 hiking miles or 30, 80, 100 paddling miles) completed in one year

• Opportunity to earn two badges for hiking and paddling

• Mile tracking form emailed to you

• Drop off or mail your completed form to Wildwood Preserve Visitors Center by June 30, 2019

• You will be notified when rewards are available for pickup at the Wildwood Visitors Center

Metroparks encourages you to set a stretch goal—a Get Outside Yourself kind of goal. For some, that will be accomplishing the 50 hiking miles or 30 paddling miles. For others, 100 or 150 hiking miles.

Watch for Metroparks Featured Trails. Try a trail in a Metropark you’ve not previously visited.

Accept The Challenge—Hit the trails or waterways!
